Ce jour-l\u00e0, nous avions d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de traverser depuis Le Noirmont jusqu\u2019\u00e0 Saint-Imier. Ainsi, nous nous \u00e9tions mis en route pour rejoindre en train Le Noirmont. Mais avant de partir, il nous a fallu aller boire un caf\u00e9 dans notre boulangerie favorite situ\u00e9e en plein milieu du village.<\/p>

Depuis le village, nous avons suivi un bout de l\u2019itin\u00e9raire Suisse Mobile du chemin des cr\u00eates des Franches-Montagnes. Toutefois, nous ne voulions pas aller jusqu\u2019au Creux aux Biches. Nous avons donc quitt\u00e9 l\u2019itin\u00e9raire pour rejoindre plus directement le Point de Vue en passant par le Cerneux Gonin et Les Preux. Apr\u00e8s le Point de Vue, le sentier descend en pente relativement douce en direction des Breuleux, dont on ne traverse que les quartiers ouest. Apr\u00e8s avoir travers\u00e9 la route, nous avons suivi le sentier balis\u00e9 traversant le P\u00e2turage Communal et monter vers Les Allevaux.<\/p>

On ne se trouve alors pas loin du Mont Soleil et il suffit de grimper sur la derni\u00e8re cr\u00eate pour pouvoir rejoindre le sommet. A l\u2019origine, nous avions pr\u00e9vu de descendre \u00e0 Saint-Imier \u00e0 pied, mais en consultant l\u2019horaire, nous nous \u00e9tions aper\u00e7us que le prochain funiculaire descendant depuis le Mont Soleil partait 5 minutes plus tard. Comme nous n\u2019avions jamais emprunt\u00e9 ce funiculaire, nous avions profit\u00e9 de l\u2019occasion. Ce funiculaire est assez particulier en ce sens qu\u2019il n\u2019y a qu\u2019une seule cabine et pas de croisement au milieu. Cela laisse supposer qu\u2019il fonctionne \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019un treuil. Depuis la station du funiculaire, en suivant le balisage, on peut se rendre \u00e0 la gare de Saint-Imier tout en \u00e9vitant habilement les rues trop fr\u00e9quent\u00e9es.<\/p>
