This hike was inspired by a book by a writer from Romandie: the book “A pied du Rhône à la Maggia” by S. Corinna Bille. This book relates the journey she made with her husband (Maurice Chappaz) and their son in the early 1950s. In the 1999 edition of “Joie de Lire” (unfortunately out of print), they recommend performing the journey in 6 days. Here, I had decided to do it over 4 days, which required some adjustments, and in particular, to take the bus-taxi from Binn to Brunnebiel. In addition, I did not leave from Fiesch, but from Fürgangen, because the suspension bridge intrigued me.
